AMEL 55

Bluewater cruiser built in 2012

The AMEL 55 is a luxurious, ocean-going bluewater cruiser from France, fully equipped for long-distance cruising. Her well-proven concept, the exceptionally high build standard of the shipyard in La Rochelle and the uncompromising focus on safety, reliability and comfort have made AMEL sailing yachts outstanding cruising yachts for decades, and they can be found in the most remote cruising grounds around the world. Very stiff, torsion-resistant construction with bonded structural bulkheads using epoxy resins. Deep, well-protected centre cockpit with high coamings and a hardtop over the helm position. Bright, airy interior thanks to numerous coachroof windows, deck hatches, portlights and hull windows. Exclusive, solid mahogany interior in American walnut with white upholstered panels and headlinings as well as light-coloured sole boards.

Exceptionally well-equipped privately owned yacht from her first owner in the two-cabin version with luxurious full-beam owner's cabin aft. Although built in 2012, the AMEL 55 was not commissioned until 2013. All furling systems, sheets and sail controls can be operated from the cockpit. Extensive specification including electric in-mast furling systems, retractable bow and stern thrusters, hydraulic passerelle, electric davits, large diesel generator, air conditioning, diesel heating, watermaker, complete B&G and FURUNO navigation package, etc. The AMEL 55 is offered for sale as her owner is retiring from sailing and can be handed over fully commissioned with all inventory. The yacht is registered under the Swiss flag, therefore the asking price is exclusive of VAT. She is lying on the Adriatic near Split and is available immediately.
