Island Gypsy 30

Trawler built in 1980

Sturdy and seaworthy trawler yacht built by Kong & Halvorsen in Hong Kong. The semi-planing hull with narrow bow, deep V-shaped bottom and wide waterline in the aft section has a lot of form stability and offers very good rough water handling. The Island Gypsy 30 is a very seaworthy and reliable vessel that does not embarrass her crew in extreme conditions. Thanks to bow and stern thrusters, her handy size and good visibility, the Island Gypsy 30 is safe and easy to manoeuvre by a small crew. She is a perfect, comfortable cruising vessel for a couple, but can easily carry twelve guests on day trips. Above water, the yacht leaves an impression with an accentuated sheer line, the angular coachhouse with steep windscreens and the clear-varnished teak transom. Wide side decks with high coaming, the large flybridge and a spacious, covered cockpit create plenty of outdoor living space and ensure safe and easy movement on deck.

Fully equipped and very well maintained owner's vessel. Since the current owners took over, there has been continuous investment in maintenance, service and new technical components. The bottom paint was completely rebuilt by Wrede in 2018, including epoxy primer. The Island Gypsy 30 is in winter storage in Kiel on the German coast of the Baltic Sea and can be viewed any time upon appointment.
