Hallberg-Rassy 44
Centercockpit-cruiser built in 2019The Hallberg-Rassy 44 marked a major step in the rather cautious evolution of yacht design at the quality yard Hallberg-Rassy on the traditional boatbuilder's island of Orust in the Western Swedish Archipelago. With this model, Germàn Frers introduced design features such as two rudder blades, a fixed bowsprit and a hull with a pronounced wedge shape. The Hallberg-Rassy 44 became a design carrier of subsequent new models. The wide stern doesn't only bring downwind performance, it also provides volume and space for an exceptionally large, luxurious owner's cabin. The powerful 3 spreader mast provides plenty of propulsion, but the yacht is well-natured and stiff to sail thanks to a ballast ratio of approx. 40 % and the high form stability of the wide stern. The two rudder blades provide plenty of grip and even when heeling the helmsman never loses control.
This Hallberg-Rassy 44 is a young, exceptionally well-maintained and extensively equipped owner's vessel. The yacht has only sailed the Baltic Sea and has been in indoor winter storage every year. Continuous care and professional technical maintenance. Thanks to the docking system with central control for bow and stern thrusters, the yacht is easy to manoeuvre by a small crew even in tight marinas. Owner's version with two cabins and layout with longitudinal galley to port. Tastefully furnished interior with ambient lighting and light upholstery. Extensive specification including electric furling systems for mainsail and genoa, electric winches, lithium service battery, full RAYMARINE navigation with three chart plotters etc. New set of ELVSTRÖM EPEX sails incl. Fatfurl mainsail in 2021.
