NAJAD 34
Centercockpit-cruiser built in 1980The NAJAD 34 was the first model to be launched by the Swedish quality shipyard on the boatbuilder's island of Orust in 1971. It was a top seller and remained in the program until 1983 (in total aprrox. 350 units were built). Very solid, traditional construction (actually certified by LLOYD'S) and excellent seakeeping especially in uncomfortable conditions (ballast ratio: approx. 42 %). Well protected center cockpit with fixed windscreen and high cockpit coamings. The innovative centercockpit concept created an unusual measure of living space and comfort below decks especially in the spacious saloon and the aft cabin. Beautiful Scandinavian traditional mahogany interior with many beautiful details and plenty of solid wood.
This yacht (NAJAD 34 hull number #296, built 1980) is a continuously maintained first hand owner's yacht. Always sailed in the Baltic and indoor winter storage every year. Bowthruster, swim platform in teak and stainless steel and new VOLVO PENTA MD2040 engine in 2005.
