X-Yachts XC-45 MK II

Bluewater cruiser built in 2016

The XC-45 was introduced in 2008 as the first model of Danish shipyard X-Yachts' newly developed cruiser series . With increased volume, larger tank capacities, generous living space and a well-protected cockpit with high coamings and a fixed windscreen, she offers greater comfort and seaworthiness without sacrificing the excellent performance and ergonomic deck layout typical of X-Yachts. The new concept was immediately successful and earned the XC-45 the title "European Yacht of the Year 2009" in the Luxury Cruiser category. Deep hull sections allow tanks, batteries and other heavy equipment to be installed below the floorboards, lowering the centre of gravity, while the deep V-shaped bow ensures comfortable motion at sea. Exceptionally stiff and torsion-resistant construction with a steel frame acting as a strongback to absorb the loads from rig, mast step and keel. From 2015 onwards, X-Yachts offered the XC-45 MK II as a revised version.

This XC-45 MK II is a comprehensively equipped cruising yacht sold by an association offering skippered offshore passages to its members. The yacht was specified for this particular purpose and features a custom layout for the forward cabin with two single berths and ample stowage in additional large lockers. With cutter stay, diesel generator, a large 24 V/420 Ah lithium service battery bank as well as extensive navigation electronics and safety equipment, the XC-45 is fully equipped for bluewater sailing. The furling boom, an electric halyard winch and the retractable bow thruster allow safe handling even with a small crew. As this XC-45 is owned by an association, the asking price is quoted excluding VAT.
