Rigging/Sails

The Nordship 40 DS is rigged with a deck stepped, 9/10 fractional SELDEN furling mast with two sets of aft swept spreaders. Spinnaker pole (stowed on mast), manual backstay adjuster, FURLEX headsail furler. Sails: Furling mainsail ELVSTRÖM approx. 47 m² with full length vertical battens, self-tacking jib ELVSTRÖM approx. 31 m², gennaker ELVSTRÖM incl. gennaker gear and snuffer.

Deck

Teakdeck on running decks, forward coachhouse roof, swim platform and in cockpit, electric anchor windlass LOFRANS 1.000 W with remote control in cockpit, mooring kit: stainless steel BRUCE-anchor 15 kg with 30 m anchor chain 10 mm and stainless steel chain lead, stainless steel winches ANDERSEN 46.2ST, Scandinavian bowsprit in teak and stainless steel with integrated anchor roller and bow ladder, gates in lifelines to starboard and port, spring cleats, integrated teak seats in pulpit, track for self-tacking jib, swim ladder, large cockpit table in teak and stainless steel, sprayhood (new 2015), cockpit cover (new 2014), teak rubbing strake on hull.

Layout/Interior

Bright and cosy decksaloon with U-shaped dinette around saloon table to port and chart table with navigator seat to starboard. Open galley to starboard with gas stove (3 burners and oven), double sink and electric refrigerator. Spacious, luxurious owner's cabin aft over the entire beam of the yacht with central queensize double berth and plenty of storage space in lockers and drawers and owner's heads with separate shower to port. The two single settees in the passage to the aft cabin can be converted into an additional sea berth. Forward cabin with V-shaped double berth and guest bathroom to port. Large and comfortable quarter berth below decksaloon floor. Beautiful mahogany interior in best Scandinavian boatbuilder's tradition.
