Biga 242
Sailing yacht built in 2021Attractive pocket cruiser in a easy to manage size built by Gerhard Bicker shipyard. The Biga 242 is the smallest model of the quality yard in North Rhine-Westphalia. Modern design by Juliane Hempel with straight lines and angular mahogany superstructure. Despite her traditional appearance, the Biga 242 offers good performance and comfortable seakeeping thanks to a modern hull shape, efficient appendixes and a powerful rig. Spacious cockpit with high coaming and ample deck storage in large lockers. Beautifully and well finished interior. Although the Biga 242 is fitted out in mahogany, the saloon and cabin do not feel dark thanks to white-painted ash trim, birch saloon ceiling and light blue upholstery. Below decks the yacht offers a surprising amount of space, comfort and storage for a boat of this size thanks to her clever layout. The German sailing magazine YACHT commented: "One of a kind ... no question, the youngest and currently smallest model from the Westphalian Bicker yard is unmatched. The market offers hardly anything comparable – at least not in serial production."
This Biga 242 is a practically new, lightly used yacht offered by her first owner. Fully equipped boat with teak deck, RAYMARINE chartplotter and autopilot etc. Biga 242 in shallow keel version (lead keel with a draft of approx. 1.05 m) and transverse dinette in saloon. TORQEEDO electric engine with pod drive and Power 48-5000 lithium battery. Different from the standard deck layout, this yacht features a self-tacking system in addition to genoa tracks. For the 2025 season, the owner purchased a completely new set of sails including Code-0 on a furling system. The yacht is in indoor winter-storage at the Schlei and can be viewed any time by appointment.
