Bianca 414

Performance cruiser built in 1981

"A modern classic" - hardly any GRP-classic fits this description better than the Bianca 414 and her little sister Aphrodite 101. With the low freeboard, an open flush deck, sleek hull lines, and long bow overhang, the Kjærulff/Elvström designs from the seventies are still timeless beauties today. The yacht has a ballast ratio of approx. 50 % thanks to her lead keel and a ballast of almost four tonnes. Combined with the narrow hull (maximum beam only 2,90 m) and the slender stern, she is a very stiff and easy-to-handle sailing yacht. Reefing is only necessary beyond 20 knots of wind speed.

This Bianca 414 is hull number #017, launched in 1981 at the Danish yard Bianca Yacht in Rudkøbing. Since 2019, the yacht has undergone an extensive refit by her current owner. The bottom paint was removed in 2022, and the antifouling including epoxy primer was completely renewed. Among others, a lithium service battery with new charging technology was installed, an inverter was fitted, the navigation electronics were replaced, new sails were added, and a diesel heater and 35 l hot water boiler were installed. The Bianca 414 is in indoor winter storage at the Kiel Fjord and can be viewed any time by appointment.
