Farr 50 Pilot House

Decksaloon yacht built in 1999

With the Farr Pilot House series, famous designer Bruce Farr, who had been very successful in the regatta circus for decades, shifted his focus to the cruising segment of the market. In cooperation with Erixon Yachts AB shipyard from Lysekiel in the western Swedish archipelago, he developed very sturdy, seaworthy but fast decksaloon yachts for blue water sailors. The Farr 50 Pilot House was the brand's second model and, in three cabins with three heads offers a crew of up to six plenty of comfort and living space on long journeys and extended stays on board. The deep, well-protected center cockpit and free, unobstructed decks guarantee safe handling and the angular profile of the deck house gives the yacht a characteristic line.

This Farr 50 Pilot House is a fully equipped owner's yacht. Extensive specification including hydraulic furling systems, diesel generator, watermaker, hot water heating system, retractable bow thruster, inverter, etc. Interior in light oak and layout with a central double berth in the forward VIP-cabin. The current owner has already carried out a refit in stages (bottom paint totally removed and repainted, teak deck renovation, standing rigging, RAYMARINE navigation, sea cocks, holding tanks, running rigging all new from 2015 to 2019), but some work and investments will be necessary to get the yacht back in full shine.
