Biehl 8.8 Daysailer
Daysailer built in 2008The Biehl 8.8 is an easy to handle, fast daysailer built by Biehlmarin in Flensburg (Design: Georg Nissen). Slim lines and classic look with angular coachhouse and coachhouse sides in high gloss varnished mahogany. Although her appearance may be very traditional, the Biehl 8.8 features a modern bottom with slim L-shaped performance keel, balanced spade rudder and a powerful rig, that offers excellent performance and a lot of fun o the water. The Biehl 8.8 sails like a dinghy. Simple but functional and comfortable interior with four berths and galley block. A special feature for a daysailer this size is the 9 hp YANMAR inboard diesel, that doesn’t only serve in low winds but is also very helpful for one-handed maneuvers in port. The whole package works so well, that the Biehl 8.8 was nominated "European Yacht of the Year 2009".
