Berckemeyer Tonger 39
Bluewater cruiser built in 2014The German design office Berckemeyer Yachtdesign has a reputation for developing contemporary and safe long-distance bluewater cruisers, which are built either as one offs or in small series at varying shipyards. The Tonger 39 (alternative design name: German 39) offered here was built in 2014 at the Dutch quality yard KM Yachtbuilders in Makkum, which specializes in aluminium yachts. Her modern hull with wide stern and slim entry section, a powerful rig and the T-shaped electro-hydraulic lifting keel give her excellent performance. The variable draft of approx. 1.10 - 2.70 m allows the Tonger 39 to enter shallow waters, and she can fall dry on her retracted keel and the two reinforced rudder blades.
Below decks, the Tonger 39 offers a friendly saloon with raised dinette and large panoramic windows in the coachhouse sides. Interior in light oak. 3 cabin layout with owner's cabin forward, double cabin aft to starboard and single cabin or multifunction utility room to port. Spacious heads compartment amidships with separate shower and washing machine. With solar panels, wind generator, large service battery bank (4 x AGM 12 V/150 Ah), wind steering system, large tank capacities, extensive SIMRAD navigation, etc., this Berckemeyer Tonger 39 is blue water ready. The asking price quoted here is including 19 % VAT, but VAT may be deducted for export or commercial use.
