BBR31 Nissen One Off

Cruiser/Racer built in 1996

Dynamic cruiser/racer designed by German naval architect Georg Nissen. The BBR31 was built as a one-off by Bootsbau Rügen (later Vilm Yachts) with great effort and attention to detail. High-tech lightweight construction in E-glass with epoxy resins and balsa core. The yacht has a very stiff structure thanks to bulkheads laminated to hull and deck and a strong laminated composite strongback. T-shaped performance keel with bronze fin and lead bulb. The high-quality and generously dimensioned deck hardware and the powerful carbon fibre mast with rod rigging make trimming the yacht a pleasure. Thanks to a retractable carbon fibre gennaker pole (length approx. 1,50 m) and a carbon fibre spinnaker pole, both asymmetric and symmetric spinnakers can be flown depending on cruising ground and rating.

Despite its sporty orientation, the BBR31 offers sufficient comfort for multi-day cruises in its bright, functional interior. Up to five people can sleep in the saloon, the forecabin and the quarter berth to starboard, and the galley block as well as the forward-facing chart table make the yacht suitable for cruising. A road-legal TECHAU tandem trailer is included. The BBR31 is lying in the Bay of Lübeck or in winter storage on Fehmarn and can be viewed at any time by arrangement.
